I think we all feel like this from time to time, and this song has a decent ability to induce day dreaming, so have fun.

Thao With The Get Down Stay Down “When We Swam”.

I have elaborately-painted fingernails I’m not willing to sacrifice, absolutely no ability to play an instrument, and cannot justify the purchase of it even thought it’s less than $40 new.
I just want it, soooo baaaaaad!!

Josh Ritter - Folk Bloodbath

Another track from Josh Ritter, otherwise known as the best kept secret in American music, this, like each of his songs are elaborate and intricate works of lyrical and musical art.  With the wordsmithing skill of a old world poet, and mood-changing arrangements, you could listen to his music endlessly and always take something different away from it.

Blah-blah-blah.  For your consideration and spiritual advancement: “Folk Bloodbath” by Josh Ritter.

More Coldplay-Inspired Nail Art, and a Trip into The Distant Future

This was a really fun combo with lots of room for creativity, that’s easy, quick, and has a great, individual outcome.  As mentioned in the title, it’s another Coldplay-inspired combo (it’s hard to resist), called “Resplendent”.

As far as theme and title, there’s a little more than meets the eye, and for my fellow Coldplayers, I will explain.  For a writing project I’ve been working on over the past year, it has involved a fair amount of future speculation (something I enjoy very much), a particular feature of which, songs, and styles we might expect from the band 25ish years from now.

In their current catalog, the song “Glasses of Water”, a lesser-known track, exemplifies their entire body of work, explaining their message and style all-in-one.  When thinking that far into the future what themes and ideas they might be experimenting with, I wanted to create a style that had that same encompassing feeling that “Glasses of Water” has for them now.

That’s where the color scheme, style and title all come from, for song called “Resplendent” that they haven’t composed yet.

Now after that long-winded explanation, if you’re interested in what I did or how I did it:

Florence & The Machine - Postcards From Italy

I share Florence + The Machine songs all the time, because I love them, but also because a good portion of them remind me of Buster, and with my everything is one mindset that completely negates time, that’s not much of a stretch for me.

This one in particular though, I listen to and prefer to imagine it’s Buster on the uke.

For your consideration, a cover of Beirut’s “Postcards from Italy” by Florence + The Machine.

Just posted one of those PoC behind the scenes stills of Chris on my facebook and was immediately asked who he was.

To which I naturally replied: Life Ruiner Chris Martin.

For some reason, every time I see the behind-the-scenes footage for the “Princess of China” video, I instinctively panic.
